2012, video, 16:9, colour, 7min 50s «Tahrir» consists of a stroboscopic assembly of images from Tahrir Square, shot during the second Egyptian revolution. At a speed of 25 images per second, the video successively pictures an image of policemen and one of rioters. Thanks to retinal persistence, the eye of the viewer assembles them in a third, ghost-like image – that of a hypnotic and brutal battlefield.
